Tikaani past puppies

Hey dawn, just thought Id send you a photo of lobo and give you a quick update. He's doing very well with obedience training and
is pretty much housebroken. He had his last round of shots a week or so ago, and he is free to meet other dogs so we are going
to send him to doggie day care one day a week to meet other puppies and go fun places with them, and he will be getting
neutered in a couple weeks. He's just shy of 5 months old and currently weighing in at about 60 lbs. He is ridiculously smart, and
I'm convinced the only "accidents" he has in the house are not accidents at all. By 4 months old he knew his name, fetch, sit, stay,
give me your paw (a stupid thing to train a dog I think because now he thinks he is supposed to shake hands with every stranger
he meets), the stairs, come, and how to approach (some of) the cats without scaring them. My wife calls him "her little angel" and I
watch him getting smarter (and bolder) every day...but he knows dad is in charge, and he hasn't had an accident with me in almost
a month. He also got to enjoy three straight blizzards last month, and I think the only thing he loves more than food (I swear he
would eat himself until he exploded if we let him) is the snow. He takes long walks and cars literally stop and yell out the window
at us and comment on what a beautiful dog he is. Some people think he's a wolf. One thing, he's not gonna be much of a guard
dog, as whenever he meets someone new he immediately drops to his side for a rubbing, and then onto his back for a good belly
scratch...and if you stop too soon he will mumble at you in wookie language. If we are ever burglarized the only use he would be is
to hopefully distract the burglar long enough with petting him so I have time to call the police. Lastly, he LOVES bath time...all the
way from getting into the tub, right down to the blow dryer. He truly is an incredible boy...the vet actually said she gets a lot of
requests for huskies from people and after meeting lobo, she is going to recommend malamutes from you instead. He even walks
nice on his leash (actually, we use a harness...he walks 1000 times better on a harness than he does with a leash on a collar), all at
4 months. He has also fully developed his chewbacca/wookie language (apparently george lucas based the character chewbacca
on his malamute because of the weird way they "talk") and begun howling (which is hillarious when he does it). The ONLY issue is
getting him into his crate at nite...he needs to be tempted with whipped cream (his favorite treat) because he wants to sleep
under our dining room table instead (where he naps when we are around). Thanks again dawn, lobo is a wonderful boy, the
sweetest dog in all of Connecticut...great with kids, cats, and even the few other dogs he's met on his walks. He still gets car sick,
and he is teething really badly so he wants to nibble on our hands wheneer we pet him for too long or he gets too excited, but
compared to the other dogs in the neighborhood, he is MILES ahead in terms of temperment and intellect. He really is everything
you could ever want in a dog.
Best,Devin Janosov

Dawn:
I wanted to send you a picture of our boy lobo. He is just about to
turn 6 months old, has been "fixed" for a month now, and is a
wonderful boy.
He is completely house-broken, is extremely well-behaved, has
been a
perfect gentleman to the cats, loves swimming, and rarely chews
anything other than his toys (he will occassionally go after some
paper plates, or other papers) but only if he is left alone outside
the crate and bored.
He really doesn't need his crate anymore, he never barks, never
bites
or growls, even when we take toys or food away from him, and is a
generally well-behaved gentleman.
He goes to doggie day care regularly and has become the most
popular
dog there with the staff and the other doigs there, and they are
always excited to see him. Pound for pound, he's got more friends
than
my wife and I combined, even the neighborhood dogs and children
love
him, and he just sits still nicely when the kids are petting him, or
strange dogs are sniffing and saying "hello"
And, the best part, so far he has gained an appropriate amount of
weight as he has grown so he has yet to get to that "lanky, goofy,
teenage" stage they usually go through when they look like German
shepards. A stage I'm hoping he never goes through, as I like him
much
better when he's "thick". He also hasn't shed at all.
I just wanted to say thanks again for breeding such a great dog, we
really couldn't ask for anything more in a pet and, given the size of
his ginormous ears, I can hardly wait to see how big he gets when he
finishes growing. He's already over 70 lbs and he's only 6 months
old.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and send you a current picture of
our big boy...thanks again Dawn.
